Loserface

This might paint a bleak picture or something, but the second night of TCAF was super awesome and pretty much the opposite of this. I got to meet and hang out with a whole bunch of awesome cartoonists I had never met before. Apologies if I'm always a glass half empty sort of guy. I just feel this way at a lot of these things. Next weeks comic will be more uplifting!

Man! Backtrack to May, I wish I had gone and talked to you. I was at the afterparty with a couple friends, but I think that made mingling with new people just as difficult, in a different way. Later at your booth I think I made some embarassed ramblings, but I thought we would have a lot to talk about. Good to hear you had fun at the next afterparty, though. The exhibitor+staff+volunteer party was when I finally relaxed, though I never did get the balls to talk to any of my comic heroes.

You totally should have! You were super nice when you came to my table! I think we could have maybe even held an actual conversation! Maybe! Hah!

I think I was finally able to relax after actually tabling. I felt like I actually belonged there rather than just kinda hanging out or something. It was smaller, too, which always helps me out. I was still to shy to strike up a conversation with some of the people I super admire though. Gah!

nice design, the typed font gives a nice contrast to the hand drawn-ness..ness o.O

oh man, i'm the kind of the same way at a lot of parties/gatherings i go to, even when there are people i do know. i'm just crazy introverted.

and the typewriter lettering looks great!

I'm always impressed by how you try different styles and fonts and stuff in your work. So good!

Thanks, Matt! I really just can't stick to any one thing. Sometimes I really wish I could because I would get so many more comics done, but man, it's so much more fun to learn as much as possible with every comic I put out!
