Definite improvements on the line-quality and structure fronts, but I think you missed likeness on this one dude.

Yeah, totally agreed. It's funny, for someone who draws himself so much I find that I REALLY CAN'T DRAW MYSELF.

Gah!

Fuck it, it's gone.

I was just telling Sam Spina the other day that I think, in autobio comics, the way a person draws themself is just a representation so it doesn't have to be 100% perfectly accurate or anything. I think it looks good. I was wondering: What do you draw these on and with what materials? How long does the average strip take? Just curious about your process.

Oh yeah, Fridge was talking about a caricature of myself that I had posted. I took it down because, yeah, shitty likeness = bad caricature.

I just draw them in my sketchbook. They're about 3 inches by 3 inches. I tend to use a Prismacolor Scarlet red Col-erase to pencil them quickly(just so I can figure out what I'm doing, nothing complicated) then I use a Faber Castell Pit artist pen to ink them.

They probably take 20 or so minutes to doodle out. Longer if I'm having trouble coming up with something, or can't seem to get the idea I have straight the first time.

Loving these! It's cool to hear the process you use for your comics. I like how you draw yourself... it's very cute.
